As I started preparing to study at IHN Vancouver this autumn, I was worried that I wouldn’t ‘fit in’ to the Ideal Nutritionist model. Was it bad that most nutrition books made me want to fall asleep while sitting upright? Should I be worried about my affection for sarcasm and my love of run-on sentences? Reading your “UnDiet” book restored my faith in holistic nutrition specifically (and in humanity as a whole. Truly, your book was that great!)
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciated reading about all the ‘other’ stuff that our health depends on, but that gets sorely overlooked in most nutrition sources. Flossing! Pooping! HAVING FUN! What a breath of fresh air. My only wish now is that “UnDiet” becomes required reading for any nutrition program worth its salt, not to mention a Must Read Text for the entire human race. (Get on it, humanity!) We can all benefit from realizing that vibrant health is so much more than calorie counting, lists of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ foods, and being able to recite all the differences between saturated and unsaturated fats. Phew! Reading “UnDiet” has been the best thing to happen to me in a while, and that says something, because my life is pretty awesome already.
LOVED your book, will recommend it to everyone, and can’t wait to read more amazingness on your blog, FB, Twitter, etc. You rock, Meghan!
