4 amazing ways to amp up your health in 2013
How are you going to do it? We do it every year and frowny, sad face, most of us don’t make it through the year. I have your back.
So many of you have done our online courses in the past with AMAZING success. I am not so silly to think that you would permanently convert to only drinking smoothies. That would be super cray-town and not healthy. But I do know that if you have done my Fab Detox, or my Gluten-Free Cleanse, or my 21 Days To Health or even my UnDiet Meal Prep Made Easy Program, that you have had many awesome health building habits stick around through the year and you are better off for it.
That much I know for sure. I want to help you keep the momentum going, or perhaps kick it off! Watch this video and learn how I have you covered.

We have done some before using our own equipment and weren’t overly thrilled with the picture quality. Up there above is the big fancy machine that our crew is going to be using to bring you our Fab Detox class Live in real time, in tip top HD quality!

Sunflower Dulse Bread
Dulse is a sea weed. A delicious one if you ask me, though I know not everyone is inclined to agree. Not everyone loves the taste of seaweed and understandably so. You might think it tastes/smells fish or like um… the sea. You wouldn’t be wrong. I’d say I’m a middle of the line seaweed eater. I love it in nori wraps, mixed in with soups, and of course I’ll throw Irish Moss into just about anything. But I am not such a lover that I’d gladly ditch the sea salt in favour of kelp flakes. No way!
Need change? No more excuses.
Do you know what the above picture is? It’s what 200 calories looks like. Not all of it together, but each individual group of items. 3 eggs, 4 slices of whole grain bread, nacho chips, half a candy bar…
As I am sure you have heard, we have a group coached program starting a week from Monday on September 24th and it’s all about cleansing out bad habits, getting educated on proper choices and perhaps most importantly, understanding the influence food can have on our energy levels, weight, quality of sleep, cravings, brain function, and stress levels. It all starts with our fuel.
The Fab Detox is not like those faddy, trendy, drop the pounds and gain them right back cleanses. The reason this sweet little 16 program is so kickass is because it is actually changing the way people are eating long after the 16 days are over.
Kicking Caffeine Dependency to the Curb
Wouldn’t you know it, that after years of not drinking coffee (I drank tea during university when I pulled all nighters) I found myself at the ripe age of 22 years old becoming a coffee fiend. After a trip to the magical land of Costa Rica- home to some of the best coffee in the world- I decided I didn’t hate the taste of coffee after all, and that sweet little buzz it gave me really was worth all the fuss. Drinking one coffee in the morning before work was harmless, I enjoyed the rich flavours immensely and would savour the warmth of every drop. When I started working in restaurants, the espresso machine called my name daily. My innocent one cup a day turned into 3 or 4 and sometimes even 6 cups over the span of 8 hours. I was hooked. After a while, though, the massive amounts of coffee felt pretty rough on my body. I would go home and keel over in pain from gut rot cramps, or just shake my way home on the streetcar.

Sorry to disappoint- it’s really not that exciting. As we gear up for registration for our next round of the Fab Detox program, you might be thinking- meh, I don’t need to detox. My diet is clean as a whistle. That’s what I used to think too- not realizing the other areas of my life that also needed a little cleansing. My make-up case was one of them.
